In 14 days we will show you the vast richness of the country's natural wealth: San Jose, capital city; Tortuguero whose canals are one of the world's most popular ecotourism destinations; Arenal Volcano which erupts 3 to 4 times every hour; Quepos, a great beach and home to Manuel Antonio National Park and Savegre, a beautiful cloud forest where the unique and impressive bird, The Quetzal make its home.
COSTA RICA TRAVEL: DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
Day 1 - WELCOME TO COSTA RICA . Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet and Great by our tour guide. Transfer to Hotel Herradura or similar with afternoon at leisure.
Day 2 - TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK After breakfast, enjoy a brief coach drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park (commonly referred to as a Symphony of Green) where it is common to see sloth lazily soaking up the sun in the high tree limbs. Then it's a leisurely cruise to Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean coast. Touring the jungle canals by boat one can see Caymans, monkeys, toucans, manatees and over 400 varieties of birdlife. Overnight at Laguna Lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 3 -TORTUGUERO. Morning and dusk cruising on the canals. In the afternoon, relax in the pool of the Laguna Lodge or visit the small village of Tortuguero . July to September is prime time for a night trek on the beach to watch giant green turtles laying their eggs in the sand. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - SARAPIQUI . Morning: Transfer to Sarapiqui and Check In at Selva Verde Lodge with afternoon at leisure. Selva Verde is one of the pioneer's rain forest lodges in CR and it is located just in front the Sarapiqui River . The rooms are rustic but with all the comfort. Wildlife is very abundant and the rooms are immersed into the beauty of the rain forest. (B,L,D)
DAY 5 - SUPER COMBO TOUR After a full Costa Rican breakfast, you will experience the best adventure in Costa Rica . At only 10 minutes from the hotel, you will get into Hacienda Pozo Azul where a 100% adrenaline tour starts: The Super Combo . This trip is our best recommendation and during this full day you will experience a great time into a real rain forest doing horseback raiding, canopy tour (zip lines) and whitewater rafting class III. All these 3 activities in one day. (B,L,D)
DAY 6 - FREE TIME. Explore the surroundings of Sarapiqui on your own. We can give you some very good recommendations. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - ARENAL VOLCANO. Breakfast and land transfer to La Fortuna town where the impressive and active Arenal Volcano is located. Check In at Hotel Arenal Paraiso. Afternoon, visit to Hot Spring Waters and free time for enjoy the place. Buffet dinner is included at this paradise. Lunch on your own (B,D)
Day 8 - ARENAL VOLCANO. During the morning, tour to the Hanging Bridges and nature walk into the rain forest. Afternoon: Free time for enjoy the hotel facilities or visit La Fortuna Town. (B)
Day 9 - MANUEL ANTONIO BEACH Depart for a land transfer to famous Manuel Antonio beach and National Park. Check In at Casitas Eclipse Hotel and free time for enjoy the hotel's facilities. Evening: Free time for explore the rich nightlife of Manuel Antonio and have dinner in one of the great restaurants of the area. Lunch and dinner on your own. (B)
Day 10 - MANUEL ANTONIO TOUR Begin the day with a 4 wheel drive safari through tropical rainforest and across rivers. We arrive at a ranch house at the base of the mountain where the adventure begins. The Canopy Walk is a system of 16 platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of the jungle. Zip lines attached between platforms allow you to slide with the use of special equipment in a safe and comfortable manner. (B,L) Dinner on your own.
Day 11 - MANUEL ANTONIO - Free time for explore the surrounding on your own or take optional tours. (B)

Day 13 - SAN JOSE . Morning: Hotel Check out and transfer to San Jose . Check in at Hotel Herradura. Deluxe room. (B)

Notes:
- Rates based in double occupancy and minimum 2 pax.
- Single supplement, add $ 850. (shuttle bus or private transfers).
- Passengers between 4-10 years old are considered children. Their fee is 80% of the adult fee.
- 3 rd and 4 th Passenger and teenagers sharing room with parents pay 80% of the regular rate.
- Passengers under 3 years old are considered infants and do not pay any fee. Parents will assume their expenses and provide their meals.
- Category B is based with a 4X4 Terios. Mandatory insurance is not included ($18 per day) and Car Rental deposit ($ 750). Car Upgrade available.
